As a Locum Anesthesiologist you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality anesthesia care for cardiac procedures ensuring patient safety and comfort. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and you will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to maintain the highest standards of clinical practice.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia for various cardiac surgical procedures
- Monitor patients before during and after anesthesia
- Collaborate with surgeons and other medical staff to develop anesthesia care plans
- Evaluate patient medical history and perform pre-anesthesia assessments
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff regarding anesthesia practices
- Stay current with advancements in anesthesiology and cardiac care
- Document anesthesia care and patient responses accurately
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Anesthesiology
- Current state medical license
- Experience in cardiac anesthesiology preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7a-5p
Call: Monday-Friday (5p-7a)& 24-hour weekend call shifts
Average Daily Census: 5 admissions 1 inpatient and 1 ICU patient
Will respond to in-house codes
Must be board-certified
