Job Summary
Leidos Digital Modernization sector is seeking an Senior Database Administrator Hosting to support USCIS Enterprise Automation & Unified Task Orchestration (eAUTO) contractdelivering 247 IT services that integrate automation cloud hosting and unified communications for 30000 endusers.
The Senior Database Administrator will be a key member of the Hosting team responsible for the design implementation maintenance and performance optimization of USCISs enterprise databases. This role is crucial for ensuring the high availability security and integrity of data residing on various hosting platforms directly supporting critical agency applications and services.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design implement and maintain database systems within Windows Unix and Linux hosting environments.
Perform database installation configuration patching and upgrades.
Monitor database performance identify bottlenecks and implement optimization strategies.
Manage database security including user access roles and compliance with agency policies.
Implement and manage database backup recovery and replication strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
Participate in disaster recovery planning and validation exercises for database systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex database-related issues working closely with system administrators and application teams.
Contribute to the development and implementation of automation scripts and tools for routine database tasks.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations procedures and troubleshooting guides.
Collaborate with other eAUTO teams including automation and cloud operations to ensure seamless integration and support for database requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent work experience with 10 yrs DBA experience installing and configurating Oracle databases.
Working knowledge of advance Oracle 11 and 12 features such as RAC and Automatic Storage Management (ASM).
Experience with Oracle and VM
10yrs of scripting
2 yrs of experience with on premise AWS migrations.
Proven expertise with major relational database management systems (e.g. Oracle SQL Server PostgreSQL MySQL) within Windows Unix and Linux environments.
Strong understanding of database high availability (e.g. clustering AlwaysOn) and disaster recovery concepts.
Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
Knowledge of database security best practices and compliance requirements.
Ability to develop and implement automation for database administration tasks.
DHS Public Trust Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Direct experience with USCIS IT infrastructure and database systems
Relevant industry certifications (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate)
Experience working on USCIS contracts and mission environments

Pay Range:
