Role: Financial Services Sourcing / Procurement Manager
Locations: Northampton Manchester Cheshire Glasgow Northampton or London hybrid working
Working Pattern: Hybrid / 2-3 days in-office
Start Date: Early 2026
Contract Duration: Initial 6 months
Day rate: Inside IR35
Role: Sourcing and category execution support for specific categories of spend.
Responsibilities will include:
- Owning a portfolio of sourcing deals (new contracts renewals extensions orders) of varying value levels risk levels depending on the level of the role
- Engaging with business stakeholders to understand the demand requirements and support the best commercial outcome
- Agreeing the sourcing approach with the category lead (e.g. RFX process single source renewal/negotiation) aligned to the category strategy
- Execution of the process following Barclays processes and controls through to contract signature and hand over to the supplier manager
- Additional work on category planning (e.g. renewals pipeline development spend analysis) may be required to support the category manage
Key skills/experience:
- Experience of end to end Sourcing process ideally Financial Services or in a similarly regulated environment for categories in scope of the role
- Structured approach to planning and execution ensuring key stakeholders and procurement colleagues are appraised of progress plans and blockers
- You will have M&A Procurement experience or more general supplier consolidation experience
- Ability to work at pace with but with control at the front of mind
- Comfortable operating in complex matrixed environments
- Self-starter pro-active and quick to learn process controls and tools
- Good interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholders
- Good collaborative style with other Procurement and Bank teams
