Nextlink Solutions is seeking an SAP HCM ECC Functional Consultant who will be responsible for analyzing documenting and stabilizing an under-documented SAP HCM ECC environment during a transition toward a Workday-centric HR landscape. The role focuses on restoring functional clarity ensuring accurate Payroll and HR operations documenting configuration and custom developments and maintaining system stability as SAP continues to serve as the downstream system for Payroll and historical data. The consultant will interpret existing logic validate schemas PCRs and infotypes assess data structures for integration readiness and collaborate closely with HR IT and external partners to ensure alignment and sustainable operations. Responsibilities include reverse-engineering configuration supporting stabilization activities producing detailed documentation and enabling knowledge transfer to internal teams while ensuring compliance consistency and reliable long-term system behavior throughout the transition.
Requirements
- Deep functional expertise in SAP HCM ECC across OM PA TM PY Compensation ESS/MSS Workflow and Travel
- Advanced Payroll configuration including schemas PCRs wage types cumulations and evaluation logic
- Experience working with custom infotypes Z-tables enhancements BADIs and user exits
- Ability to analyse undocumented systems identify inconsistencies and restore functional clarity
- Experience supporting HR and Payroll processes in complex SAP environments
- Working knowledge of SAP HR integration frameworks and downstream data alignment
- Strong analytical and documentation capabilities with ability to reverse-engineer existing configuration.
- Fluent in English with ability to understand German documentation considered beneficial
- Familiarity with SHAPEiN or PECI data flows beneficial but not mandatory
