Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Audio Visual Technician to install service and maintain video surveillance and audio-visual systems for a wide variety of clients. This role includes hands-on installation troubleshooting wiring equipment setup and customer communication. The ideal candidate has strong technical aptitude excellent attention to detail and enjoys working in a professional family-focused environment.
Responsibilities
Install configure and maintain audio-visual and video surveillance systems
Work with high-definition cameras (short-range long-range PTZ) and related hardware
Run secure and conceal wiring to ensure clean and professional installations
Conduct site surveys to determine equipment placement and system design
Troubleshoot system issues and provide onsite and remote support
Operate lifts ladders and equipment safely according to certifications and training
Communicate effectively with customers providing professional and courteous service
Maintain accurate records of installations service calls and equipment used
Travel to client locations throughout Illinois and nearby states as needed
Work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and quality standards
Requirements
Previous experience in audio-visual installation low-voltage wiring security cameras or related fields preferred
Strong technical and mechanical skills
Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams and installation instructions
Comfort working on ladders lifts and in various indoor/outdoor environments
Valid drivers license and clean driving record
Ability to work independently problem-solve and communicate professionally
Willingness to travel regionally for installations
High school diploma or equivalent required
