Job Summary
Ridgeview Elementary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated librarian to foster a love of reading and learning in our K-2 students. The ideal candidate will create a welcoming and engaging library environment support students and teachers with literacy resources and maintain a well organized library.
Responsibilities:
- Inspire a love for reading by engaging students in library activities read-alouds and book recommendations.
- Create a warm and inviting library space where students feel encouraged to explore books.
- Organize maintain and order books and resources to support curriculum and student interests.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into classroom instruction and support literacy development.
- Assist students in finding books that match their reading level and interests to foster independent reading habits.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferably in a library or school setting.
- Strong organizational skills to manage library collections and book orders.
- Passion for childrens literature literacy development and student engagement.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with students teachers and families.
