About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Respiratory Nurse Specialist focusing on Tuberculosis (TB).

This is an advanced practice role requiring strong assessment skills diagnostic reasoning and in-depth knowledge of complex conditions. You will be responsible for case management and coordinating care for TB patients and their whānau working closely with other health professionals to ensure effective treatment and reduce community transmission. The role includes coordinating investigations liaising with Public Health and planning admissions and treatment.

About the Team

Our Respiratory Service based at Te Toka Tumai (Auckland) is part of the Adult Medical Services Directorate. We provide regional and local care for patients with complex respiratory conditions through inpatient outpatient and physiology services. Our team includes experienced nurses and medical staff working across multiple sites.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Current NZ Nursing Council registration and APC
  • Proficient or expert-level PDRP portfolio (or equivalent)
  • Completed or be enrolled in postgraduate or diploma studies
  • Proven leadership experience in clinical settings
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence working in a bi-cultural environment
