Job Summary
This position is responsible for performing operations functions preventive and corrective maintenance as applicable to job function to ensure proper functioning of plant equipment will work under the direction of site management.Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
Proficient in maintenance of process control instrumentation
Proficient skills for maintaining equipment at the plant
Performs troubleshooting and documentation and assists in the resolution of problems discovered on shift
Performs daily maintenance overhauls calibration troubleshooting repair/replacement and removal/installation of plant equipment and auxiliary systems.
Calibrate troubleshoot and maintain power plant instrumentation systems and control systems.
Makes decisions and recommends appropriate repair techniques for plant equipment to peers supervisors plant management.
Conducts excitation system inspections and preventive maintenance
Proficient in Foxboro and Mark VI
Develops and implements plant operating procedures
Understands relationship of equipment to plant systems
May provide instruction and teaching to lower level employees
Ensures strict adherence to safety health and environmental procedures as they relate to plant operations and maintenance including but not limited to Lockout Tagout Job Safety Analysis Confined Space Hot Work Electrical Safety and PPE
Education Experience and Skill Requirements:
4 -6 years related experience
Satisfactory completion of Tier 2 within primary skill for position job performance measure
Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent
Demonstrate computer based skills
Demonstrate effective oral & verbal communications skills
Independent knowledge of troubleshooting
This position will be required to work nights and weekends based on plant needs.

Satisfactory completion of Tier 3 training and qualification requirements
Demonstrate continual self improvement in job skills and knowledge.
Perform work incorporating strict adherence to Safety procedures and best practices and continually observe for safe working practices.
Regularly develops and presents safety topics.
Develop an understanding of HPI tools through training opportunities and practice. Actively participate in Pre/Post Job briefs.
Work with other technicians to perform routine and emergency maintenance and/or compliance activities on the plant instrumentation and control systems including weekends holidays and scheduled shift.
Cover Unit start-up and shut-down activities with assistance from other Technicians.
Calibrate troubleshoot and maintain power plant instrumentation systems and equipment.
Learn to enter WRs and PRs into Maximo.
Assist in the design and implementation of O&M and Capital projects.
Learn to communicate LOTO requests to Operations.
Maintain a good working relationship with Operations Electrical Purchasing Warehouse personnel other support groups and vendors.
