About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Intermediate Hydrogeochemist/Geochemist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Masters degree or Ph.D. and 5 to 10 years of experience in developing and executing mine-related geochemical testing programs and geochemical and water quality models for mining operations in Canada or internationally. This role involves conducting geochemical assessments developing models and providing technical support for mining projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute geochemical testing programs for mining projects.
- Create and calibrate geochemical and water quality models using industry-standard software.
- Analyze and interpret geochemical data to support project planning and decision-making.
- Prepare technical reports presentations and documentation for clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geochemical data into mining project designs.
- Monitor and evaluate water quality and geochemical conditions providing recommendations for management.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
- Participate in fieldwork including site visits data collection and sampling.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Geochemistry Hydrogeology Environmental Science or a related field.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in geochemical testing and modeling for mining operations.
- Proficiency in geochemical modeling software (e.g. PHREEQC Geochemists Workbench).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and industry standards.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Geologist (P. Geo.) or equivalent certification.
- Experience with GIS software and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with mining operations and practices.
