Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
Support the tests and exercises related to the execution of Business Continuity (BC) plans. Assist in the execution of the table-top functional and Disaster Recovery exercises.
Support the vision and system strategic development implementation and sustainment of the Business Continuity Program.
Support health system-wide leadership of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) EMP management and Disaster Recovery (DR) operations and procedures for TUKHS organization.
Provides support and coordination for personnel and activities related to emergency and disaster planning mitigation preparedness response and recovery.
Assists in the daily operation of the program across the system including the design development implementation and ongoing support of projects relating to organizational resilience (i.e.: organizational risk emergency management and business continuity planning).
Support enterprise program policy and framework for emergency management and business continuity plan conducting annual reviews of plans and providing recommendations.
Coordinates resources to complete plans and participate in training.
Ensures compliance with Joint Commission ASPR CMS HICS HFPA 1600 and other relevant standards.
Provides strategic direction in the formulation implementation and execution of strategic (long-range) planning processes that incorporate performance measures and reporting results to address emergency management/business continuity initiatives.
Supports the Hospital Command Center to coordinate emergency response activities during a business interruption or disaster.
Provides guidance in the resolution of complex problems or issues impacting operations.
As needed coordinates with local and state governmental health care and law enforcement agencies i.e. public health and the business community for emergency planning.
Participates in engagement with various federal and state government agency committee and subcommittee meetings including local and/or regional conferences involving existing and future regulatory-related expectations related to BCP.
Develop curriculum and conducts training on emergency management and business continuity.
Assists in the coordination of core BCP activities and serves as the catalyst to ensure the BCP activities are carried out in the most effective and efficient means possible.
Collects and analyzed pertinent BCP and DR data and information.
Provide support with the writing Business Impact Analysis reports for Health System departments determined to be critical and for the development and oversight of programs to raise awareness within TUKHS related to EMP and BCP issues guidelines and procedures.
Support the effort with writing business continuity plans which incorporate the results of the data analysis and recovery strategies to be used when the plans are invoked.
Provides support to assist that the EMPs and BCPs are tested and the test results are appropriately documented. The test results will then be analyzed and the business continuity plans will be modified accordingly and future tests will be predicated on any relative findings from the previous test cycle.
Supports emergency management planning and business continuity planning to provide education to local leadership management department administrators and line staff as appropriate as to the content of the plan how to effectively use the plan and participate in the plan review and update.
Support efforts to ensure all established BCP performance measures are being met or exceeded.
Works closely with Emergency Preparedness Manager and BC/DR Director in ensuring all the overall program goals are being achieved.
Must be able to perform the professional clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree from an accredited College or University in Nursing Disaster Recovery Incident Response Emergency Preparedness Business/Organizational Leadership Occupational Safety Management or related field.
Preferred Education and Experience
5 or more years in planning or operations field.

Knowledge Requirements
National Incident Management System (NIMS) IS 100 IS 200 IS 700 and IS 800 training within 120 days of hire. Completes IS 300 and 400 within the timeline set by supervisor.
ICS 300: Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents.
ICS 400: Advanced Incident Command System for Command and General Staff - Complex Incidents.
