Job Summary: | The Department of Neurology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking to recruit dynamic candidates to expand its clinical and basic science research programs within our several of our sub-specialties. The position is full-time faculty with the opportunity for academic promotion which is determined on criteria of demonstrated excellence in the areas of education research clinical care and community service. We are seeking individuals who are collaborative communicative caring detail oriented organized proactive able to think critically focused on quality dedicated to personal growth and highly motivated. The position is located at the University of Colorado - Anschutz Medical Campus. Hours will be dependent on business need (i.e. patient volume schedules research study needs). We are the premier research university in Colorado serving more than 30000 undergraduate graduate and health professions students in Denver Aurora and online and awarding nearly 4000 degrees each year. The renowned researchers and award-winning faculty offer more than 100-degree programs through 13 colleges and schools. The Universitys School of Medicine was awarded more than $757 million in research grants and contracts. The Anschutz Medical Campus includes over 5 million square feet of research educational and clinical space on 227 acres. Key Responsibilities: The duties in this faculty position will include teaching research and service responsibilities. The overall determination of research and clinical activities and allocation of time and effort will be subject to the determination of the Section Head. Clinical duties may include responsibilities at the faculty-level for in-patient / out-patient services as well as consultations and emergency consultation of the Neurology Department. While on service obligations will include supervision of medical students residents and some fellows supervision of patient procedures and teaching of the house-staff as well as students. Teaching activities include attending neurology services leading teaching conferences and training medical students residents and fellows. Administrative responsibilities will include data entry into hospital systems development of critical pathways committee work and projects aimed at improving the specialty and department mission. It is assumed the bulk of this non-clinical time will be spent working toward the production of scholarship activities. Attendance at meetings and educational events of the department and specialty programs is expected. Other duties may be assigned as need arises. | |

Qualifications: | Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Anticipated Pay Range: | The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: Assistant Professor: $260000 to $270000 Associate Professor: $270000 to $280000 Professor: $280000 to $300000 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
