English Teacher Lead Academic Literacy and KS4 Progress Isle of Wight
A highly supportive secondary academy on the Isle of Wight is seeking an engaging and dedicated English Teacher to join its faculty from January 2026 with a focus on maximizing GCSE Literature and Language attainment.
- English Teacher required from January 2026.
- Isle of Wight-based school (England Hampshire/Solent Area).
- Seeking a dedicated teacher to drive KS4 progress and academic literacy.
You will teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4 focusing on developing students critical reading analytical skills and extended writing proficiency essential for GCSE success. There is scope to lead a key area of academic literacy or reading intervention across the department.
Experience and Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant English or Literature degree.
- Proven success in achieving high academic results in GCSE English Language and Literature.
- Strong skills in developing academic essay writing and non-fiction literacy.
- Commitment to promoting a culture of reading for pleasure and critical engagement.
