About the Role
TheYard Marshal is responsible for managing the movement complianceand readiness of vehicles within the yard ensuring accuratealignment with fleet systems. This role ensures all vehicles arefully compliant roadworthy and prepared for assignment to driverssupporting operational efficiency and company standards.

What Youll be Doing

Main duties andresponsibilities of the role in bullet points.

VehicleYard & compliance coordination

• Manage and oversee themovement of vehicles in and out of the yard including secure keyand parking control.

• Ensurevehicle compliance and readiness for assignment confirm allvehicles are licensed roadworthy serviced cleaned fuelled andmeet safety and brand standards before handover.

• Conductreadiness and compliance checks escalating outstanding repairsinspections or registrations to the maintenance team for quickresolution.

• Reportand track any delays ensuring corrective actions are taken to avoiddisruption to driver onboarding or operations.
  
  

Systemaccuracy & reporting

• Maintain accurate andup-to-date records of all vehicle movements locations andreadiness in CRM and fleet management systems.

• Regularlyreconcile yard vehicle counts with system data to ensure alignmentand transparency.

• Flagdiscrepancies or compliance risks immediately and ensure issues areresolved before vehicles are allocated.

• Providefeedback to operations and fleet teams on turnaround timesbottlenecks and process gaps.
  

Safety& continuous improvement

• Enforce strict yardsafety and security protocols ensuring safe storage and movement ofvehicles.

• Monitorvehicle conditions in the yard and escalate damage non-complianceor risks promptly.

• Collaboratewith operations fleet and onboarding teams to improve yardefficiency turnaround times and compliance processes.

Key Metrics

Keycompetencies or attributes essential for success in the role.

• Matric(essential); Diploma in Fleet Logistics or Operations(advantage).
  
  
• 2years experience in fleet yard or operational coordination.
  
  
• Strongunderstanding of vehicle compliance and roadworthinessrequirements.
  
  
• Abilityto work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  

• Computerliteracy (CRM/fleet systems proficiency is an advantage).
  
  
• Validdrivers license.
