Key Responsibilities:
Perform a broad range of general surgical procedures.
Provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care to patients.
Participate in on-call rota and emergency surgeries.
Collaborate with medical, nursing, and health staff to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines.
Engage in teaching, training, and supervising junior medical staff and medical students.
Participate in clinical audits, research, and continuous professional development.
Requirements:
Active registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
Fellowship or equivalent in General Surgery.
Extensive experience in a broad range of general surgical procedures.
Proven track record of excellence in clinical practice.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
