The Vet Office is recruiting a Veterinary Surgeon for a well-established independent mixed practice based in coastal Ballina Co. Mayo. This is a genuinely varied role offering a 50:50 split between Small Animal and Large Animal work ideal for a vet who enjoys diversity clinical progression and a supportive team culture.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will enjoy a balanced caseload including small animal consultations and surgery alongside a strong large animal workload across cattle dairy and sheep. The practice places a real emphasis on herd health and preventive medicine giving you the chance to build meaningful long-term client relationships and develop advanced skills in farm practice.
Youll be supported by an excellent nursing and support team modern facilities and up-to-date diagnostic equipment including EasiScan ultrasound. Mentorship is a key part of the culture with access to certificate-holder guidance and structured clinical support.
Support & Development
This role is new-graduate friendly with a 1:4 rota strong backup and a learning-focused environment. For more experienced vets there is clear scope for progression increased responsibility and further professional development.
