of Job Duties:The Plumber I is responsible for installing maintaining and repairing plumbing systems equipment and fixtures natural gas components and piping irrigation systems backflow preventer testing and repairs and storm drains within the campus. This role requires a thorough knowledge of plumbing systems excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Regular reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty as is the ability to create and maintain collegial harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Arkansas Journeyman Plumber License according to ACA

  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma

  • At least four years of experience in the plumbing trade

  • Valid Driver License


Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least five years of experience in the plumbing industry/trade


Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the methods practices and safety precautions in one or more of the skilled trades

  • Knowledge of the accepted practices processes materials and tools of the various skilled trades

  • Knowledge of the laws and regulations relating to one or more of the skilled trades

  • Ability to provide mathematical and analytical skills necessary to do material estimates for one or more of the skilled trades

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints manuals schematics building plans and/or work drawings

  • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions

  • Ability to maintain inventory on needed parts and tools for one or more of the skilled trades

  • Knowledge and use of a CMMS/Work Order Management system and associated mobile platforms if applicable

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products such as email spreadsheets

  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff or apprentices
