The Center for Jewish-Inclusive Learning(CJIL) a division of The Jewish Education Project engages with K12 schools to proactively educate for a society free of partnering withleaders in school systems and withcontent providers specializing in topics related to the Jewish people CJILhelps bring engaging accurate andculturally competentinstructionaboutthe Jewish peopleto public and independent schools and fosterslearning environments that are inclusive of Jewish students families and staff.
Position Overview
The Jewish Education Project seeks a full-timeDirector ofK-12ProgramImplementationto play acritical leadershiprole ontheCJIL team. Reporting to theChief Program Officer theDirector of K-12ProgramImplementationwilldevelop and execute a plan to broaden and deepen delivery of professional developmentresourcesand direct-to student experiences from partner content providersacrossdistricts schoolbuildingsand withleadersindistrictsschoolbuildingsand associationslike the UFT the Director of K-12ProgramImplementation will deliver broader and deeper professional development resources and direct to student experiences about the Jewish people and Israel.
TheDirectorwillleada growingteam responsible for engaging district and school building leadersinNew York City Public Schools (NYCPS)as well asWestchesterNassauand Suffolk Countypublic schools. They willserve as the primary point of contactforNYCPSeducational leadersand will superviseothers in doing soin the NYC suburbsand within NYCas the team expands.
TheDirector of K-12ProgramImplementationwillalso contribute tostrategic planningand developmentrelated tooutreach evaluation and scalingof CJILs work in NYCPS andneighboring school will collaborate with colleagues across The Jewish Education Project to ensure alignment communication and shared success.
This position isideal foreither aseasoned public-school leaderor educational content providerwith experienceat the district or central office levelor for a community organizer with proven experienceimpactingsystem change. Candidates should bepassionate aboutinstructional excellence and inclusive school successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of how large school systemsoperate strong relationship-building skills and a strategic mindset oriented toward creative problem-solving and results.
Key Responsibilities
Partnership Developmentand Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary liaison between CJIL and NYCPS district and school leaders ensuring consistent responsive and values-aligned communication.
- Build andmaintainrelationships that foster collaboration trust and long-term engagement with CJILs work.
- Identifyopportunities for CJIL to partner with schools and districts on professional learning pilot programs curriculum implementation and student experiences.
- Facilitate focus groups advisory sessions and other engagement opportunities to surface needs gather insights and inform CJILs program design.
- Represent CJIL at meetings conferences and events with educational leaders andsystempartners.
- Work collaboratively with the CJIL team to ensure educational partners needs aremetand our engagement has its intended impact.
ImplementationandAssessment
- Collaborate with CJIL leadership to develop and execute outreach and partnership strategies aligned with the teams goals.
- Develop and execute a plan tobroaden and deepen delivery of professional developmentresourcesand direct-to student experiencesfrom partner content providersacrossdistricts schoolbuildingsand associations.
- Manage timelines deliverables and documentation related todevelopment and execution of a plan to broaden and deepen delivery
- Use data and feedback from districtsschoolsand educational content partnersto inform continuous improvement and growth strategies.
- Share insights from the field to strengthen CJILs understanding of school system needs and priorities.
- Contribute to planning for the evaluation and scaling of CJILs work across the NYCPS landscape.
- Monitor progress track outcomes and provide recommendations for improvement.
Program and EventLeadership
- Co-design and help leadCJIL-sponsoredschool and district-level professional development conferences and other events.
- Facilitate partnership between educational content providers and school system leadership for the delivery of programs by educational content providers
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure events and initiatives are well executed and achieve desired outcomes.
- Collaborate with the CJIL team and other departmentson communication and evaluation related to programs and events.
Evaluation
- Contribute to planning for the evaluation and scaling of CJILs work across the NYCPS landscape.
- Monitor progress track outcomes and provide recommendations for improvement.
General TeamEngagement
- Contribute to thepositive learning-oriented team culture that values curiosity initiative and mutual support.
- Collaborate across departments at The Jewish Education Project to align CJILs work with broader agency initiatives.
- Activelyparticipatein internal meetings trainings and eventsas a representative of a team that strives for excellencein professionalism and congeniality.

Experience Qualifications and Competencies
The ideal candidate is highlymotivatedproactive detail-oriented organized and tech arecomfortable with a start-up culture andable to juggle multiple projects people and right candidateis an experienced educational leader who combines a deep understanding of public-school systems with excellent interpersonal skills strategic thinking and organizational with diverse cultural educational and experiential backgrounds are urged to apply.
- 10years of full-time professional experienceinoradjacent toK12 public with experience in K-12 educational sales will also be considered.
- Experienceeitherin school systemsincluding leadership roles such as principal district administratorcentral office stafforin K-12 educationalorganizationswith experience as aseniorleader securing delivery of content
- Demonstrated success building partnerships and leading collaborative initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
- Understanding and appreciation of the priorities pressures and opportunities facing NYCPS or comparable large urban school systems.
- Excellentwritten and verbalcommunicationskills with experiencefacilitatingmeetings andtrainingsforschool or district staff.
- High emotional intelligence good judgment and asolutions-oriented mindset.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to managediverse tasks with impeccable attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills enabling seamless professional interactions with senior-level partners and educators.
- Comfort using digital tools for project management dataentry design and communication (experience withClickUp Salesforce or similarplatformsa plus).
- Proficiencywith Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Understanding of or interest in learning about Jewish identity Jewish history Israel antisemitismand how these topics relate to K12 publiceducation.
