The UGDSB employs a team of approximately 4000 dedicated staff who serve more than 35000 students attending a variety of programs across 66 elementary and 11 secondary schools as well as continuing education and adult learning centres in the counties of Dufferin Wellington and the City of Guelph. THE OPPORTUNITY

The UGDSB is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team for a temporary full-time opportunity in the capacity of Office Coordinator - Elementary. This is a 10 month position to commence as soon as possible with an unknown end date. The Office Coordinator - Elementary will be reporting to the Elementary Principal.

LOCATION: Paisley Road Public School

HOURLY RATE : Base hourly rate: $31.61 to $38.51 per hour; wage rate effective September 1 2025

FTE/HOURS: 1.0 FTE (35 hours per week)

BOARD INFORMATION: 10-month position; Temporary full-time; OCT Union

R esponsibilities :

This position will be responsible for performing all secretarial and clerical duties in the school including:

  • Perform confidential and administrative support for the principal and vice-principal
  • Co-ordinating workload and assigning tasks of other office staff
  • Developing and maintaining all school student and financial records
  • Establishing and maintaining manual and automated filing systems
  • Typing correspondence reports etc.
  • Other duties as assigned
Experience and Qualifications:
  • O.S.S.D. or equivalent
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Excellent keyboarding and computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office SDS School Cash and EDSEMBLI
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to handle all contacts with tact and courtesy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with staff and students of the school and with the community
