Location: Cooperstown NY 13326
Assignment: 13 Weeks Nights 12-Hour Shifts
Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Schedule: Variable nights including weekdays and weekends
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Required
Pay Rate: Local: $1966/week Travel: $2281/week

Position Summary

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Registered Nurse Psychiatric (RN Psych)for an exciting job in Cooperstown NY.

Responsibilities

Administer medications safely and accurately
Complete timely and thorough documentation
Provide clinical oversight and support for Nursing Assistants/Techs
Assist with direct patient care as needed including 1:1 observation
Perform required hourly rounding (RNs rotate patient checks)
Participate in safety protocols including restraint/seclusion room procedures
Collaborate with security for restraint situations (transitioning to TRUST de-escalation model)
Maintain a therapeutic and safe environment for all patients

Required Skills & Experience

Experience in acute psychiatric or behavioral health nursing
Ability to work in a secure locked unit
Strong crisis management and de-escalation skills
Flexibility to support the unit during expansion and changes in patient census
Comfortable functioning as a sitter or assisting with tech-level tasks when needed

Certifications & Training

Required: None currently
Upcoming Requirement: TRUST de-escalation certification (provided by facility)
