Position Overview
The Facility & Procurement Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the operational integrity and efficiency of our physical environment and procurement processes. This position combines responsibility for facility managementmaintaining and optimizing buildings equipment and serviceswith procurement management ensuring goods and services are sourced at optimal value.
In the coming years this role will be instrumental in supporting ERP implementation business integrations and automation projects. The position requires close collaboration with Operations IT Engineering and Corporate Purchasing teams and leadership of a team of three professionals based in Venlo.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role you will oversee the seamless functioning of our facility and procurement operations. You will ensure that the building and its technical installations are maintained to the highest standards coordinating with landlords and subcontractors for services such as cleaning security and pest control. You will manage inspections calibrations and temperature monitoring systems safeguarding compliance and operational reliability.
You will take ownership of space optimization initiatives ensuring efficient utilization of our warehouse footprint. Budget preparation and cost control will be central to your responsibilities requiring a strategic approach to financial management.
On the procurement side you will source goods and services essential for VDC operations including MRO supplies packaging and maintenance services. You will develop and enforce purchasing policies select suppliers based on quality cost and sustainability and negotiate contracts with clear service-level agreements and performance indicators. Cost analysis and savings initiatives will be part of your mandate alongside risk mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and compliance.
Beyond day-to-day operations you will lead sustainability projects focused on energy efficiency and waste reduction drive automation and warehouse redesign initiatives and ensure adherence to health safety and environmental regulations. Compliance with ISO13485 and QMS requirements will be integral to your work including documentation of change plans and validations. Finally you will manage and guide your team fostering a culture of efficiency and excellence.
Education and Requierments:
- Bachelors degree with several years of experience in facility management ideally within the healthcare industry
- Proven experience in project management within a matrix organization
- Familiarity with regulated environments and ISO-related processes (healthcare experience is a plus)
- Fluency in English and Dutch
