Job Summary
Introducing TechPoint
The Role
The IT Apprentice will support the delivery of high-quality IT services across theorganisation. The primary focus of the role is toassistwith first-line technical support through the service desk ensuring incidents and requests are logged managed and resolved addition the apprentice will contribute to theorganisationsdigital transformation by helping convert operational IT knowledge into AI-driven support assets.
Responsibilities
Service Desk Support
- Provide first-line support to employees via telephone email and ticketing system.
- Logcategorise andprioritiseincidents and service requests accurately.
- Troubleshoot common IT issues including user access Microsoft 365 hardware faults and connectivity issues.
- Escalate tickets when.
- Assistwith onboarding and offboarding.
- Maintainaccuratedocumentation.
Knowledge Management & AI Support
- Capture repeatable solutions and procedures.
- Support the creation of knowledge base articles.
- Identifyrecurring ticket types suitable for automation.
- Assistin developing and training AI agents.
- Test AI-driven tools and provide feedback.
Learning & Development
Youllgain hands-on experience and training in:
- ITIL service desk operations
- Microsoft 365 and Azure AD
- Ticketing systems
- Endpoint management
- Cybersecurity fundamentals
- AI automation and prompt engineering
- Knowledge management
About you
- EssentialAn interest in IT and Technology
- Essential Strong communication skills
- Essential Problem-solving mindsetand detail-orientated.
Desirable:
- Basic Windows OS knowledge.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365.
- Exposure toscripting.
- Interestin AI and automation.
