Job Summary:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join a dynamic respiratory care team at a leading hospital in Ocala FL. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory treatments manage ventilated and high-acuity patients and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Qualifications:
Required:
Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
Active Florida Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
CRT or RRT credential (facility may prefer RRT)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) typically required or obtained within first months
Strong clinical judgment and ability to work with high-acuity patients
Preferred:
RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential
Experience in an acute care or hospital setting
Proficiency with ventilator management and critical care
Responsibilities:
Perform respiratory care procedures in accordance with physician orders and clinical guidelines
Administer oxygen therapy nebulizer treatments chest physiotherapy and related modalities
Manage ventilators CPAP/BiPAP and advanced airway equipment
Monitor assess and document patient responses to respiratory therapy
Respond promptly to emergency situations including rapid response and code blue events
Provide patient and family education on respiratory conditions and equipment
Collaborate closely with nurses physicians and care teams to support optimal outcomes
