Description

We are searching for a Clinical Nurse Coordinatorfor the Special Isolation Unit at West Campus.The Special Isolation Unit (SIU) at West Campus is a uniquely designed biocontainment unit built to provide high quality and SAFE care for pediatric patients with highly hazardous infections. This unit is staffed by a trained Special Response team consisting of dedicated volunteers from all across Texas Childrens Hospital. This isnt just another roleits your chance to be part of a groundbreaking system-wide initiative at a community campus that truly matters. As our Coordinator youll work at the intersection of healthcare and emergency preparedness partnering with local state and national organizations to ensure were ready for anythingincluding High Consequence Infectious Diseases (HCID).

To watch a video about the Special Isolation Unit at Texas Childrens Hospital click here. degree in nursing (preferred) or associates degree/diploma in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement

  • Current RN license in the state of Texas
  • Two (2) years of nursing experience
  • BLS from the American Heart Association
  • TCH Special Isolation Unit or a Biocontainment Unit that cares for High Consequence Infectious Disease (HCID) experience preferred
  • Pediatric intensive care experience is preferred
