Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Reporting to the Senior Laboratory Services Director the Blood Management Service Manager is responsible for working and collaborating with the service delivery organizations (SDOs) in the coordination of the provincial planning development maintenance and evaluation of blood management services among the team and throughout the province. Through this coordination the manager will also play a key leadership role ensuring streamlined services meet accreditation standards. Working with a multidisciplinary team of health professionals this role is responsible for implementing strategic planning initiatives allocation of resources (staff supplies equipment and space) the development of blood management standards and maximizing interprofessional scope of practice integration of quality improvement risk management supporting ongoing education needs and research as well as financial responsibilities for cost centres under his/her purview.
