This role offers a rare opportunity to lead engagements for top-tier venture capital and growth equity clients across the full fund life cycle. The ideal attorney brings deep fund formation experience sophisticated regulatory knowledge and a passion for advising both sponsors and institutional investors.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction in good standing
- 8 years of substantive fund formation experience working with sponsors
- Strong background handling structuring formation and operation of investment funds
- Significant experience advising on the Securities Act Exchange Act Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act
- Substantial experience representing institutional investors in private investment funds
- Demonstrated ability to advise on legal regulatory and compliance considerations across complex fund activities
- Prior experience at a national or international law firm of comparable rank
- Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-directed collaborative and committed to outstanding client service
Key Responsibilities
- Lead fund formation matters for venture capital and growth equity sponsors
- Advise clients on fund structuring regulatory strategy operational matters and compliance frameworks
- Represent institutional investors in private fund investments and ongoing program needs
- Serve as a trusted counselor on sensitive governance regulatory and transactional issues
- Collaborate closely with cross-office colleagues to support a globally-integrated fund services practice
- Mentor junior team members and help strengthen the groups knowledge base and best practices
