Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Electrician Heavy Vehicles to diagnose repair and maintain electrical systems in buses trucks trailers and other heavy commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise with wiring lighting ignition battery alternators and electronic control systems ensuring all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards.
Main Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair electrical faults in heavy vehicles including wiring harnesses lighting systems alternators and batteries.
Install maintain and repair electrical components such as starters ignition systems and control panels.
Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical systems to minimize breakdowns.
Read and interpret technical diagrams wiring schematics and manufacturer manuals.
Test and calibrate electrical systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Replace faulty parts and reassemble systems according to manufacturer specifications.
Ensure all repairs comply with industry safety regulations and standards.
Collaborate with mechanics and other technicians to resolve complex technical issues.
Maintain accurate service records and report completed tasks to the supervisor.
Stay updated on the latest automotive electrical technologies and repair techniques.
Essential Qualifications
Diploma / ITI in Auto Electrical Automobile Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3 5 years of proven experience in auto electrical repairs for heavy vehicles.
Valid driving license for heavy vehicles (preferred).
Skills Required
Strong technical knowledge of electrical and electronic systems in heavy vehicles.
Ability to use diagnostic equipment and specialized electrical tools.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of vehicle safety regulations and preventive maintenance practices.
Ability to work under pressure and meet repair deadlines.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
