Summary

We are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join Mycronics Global Technologies division working within our Magnetic Test business line (Hprobe). Hprobe is a fast-growing company that develops and markets Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for emerging technologies in the semiconductor industry. Hprobes unique equipment provides innovative solutions for testing spintronic components under magnetic fields particularly in the MRAM (Magnetic Random Access Memory) and TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) embedded memory sectors. Our customers include the worlds leading semiconductor manufacturers and global technology leaders.

The Field Service Engineer will be based in Eybens France and will be traveling to Europe the US China and South Korea.


Responsibilities

  • Aiding in the installation and acceptance process of equipment
  • Providing quality on-site support repair planned maintenance and service of complex electro-mechanical systems
  • Troubleshooting mechanical and software equipment problems alone and with remote support from team in France
  • Root cause analysis down to the component level
  • Installation and qualification of new hardware features or upgrades
  • Installation of new software updates and features
  • Equipment calibrations and performance confirmation after any maintenance or relocation
  • Customer training and applications / process support
  • Documenting all works carried out and reporting activities to headquarters
  • Maintaining good tracking of all inventory and spare parts for all allocated equipment
  • May perform other related duties as requested by management

Candidate Profile:

The candidate must be highly motivated and self-reliant. They must be able to think independently and solve problems. They must demonstrate resilience in difficult situations and always strive to do their best for the customer.

Technical Skills

  • Master Degree or above in; Electronics Physics Automation or other science/engineering related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years work experience in; installation test process or applications supporting advanced equipment in science research or industry
  • Trouble shooting / problem solving; electrical wiring faults process and software issues
  • Knowledge of electrical testing methods is a bonus
  • Experience of working in the semiconductor industry is a bonus but not required
  • Knowledge of MRAM and memory device testing is a bonus but not required

Soft Skills

  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Independent and self-motivated
  • Ability to develop strong and lasting client relationships
