The Opportunity

TECKperts client a government agency in Florida is seeking a dedicated and experiencedComputer Operations Managerto join their team in Celebration FL. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the daily activities of a technical team ensuring operational support coverage and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service role requires flexibility to work hours between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM Monday - Friday and travel between FDOT locations 25% - 40% of the is not authorized for this position.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and manage the delivery of IT services across the program ensuring alignment with business needs and service level expectations.
  • Manage and coordinate daily activities of the technical team including project scheduling monitoring and incident response.
  • Ensure operational support coverage and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Monitor system performance and availability ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Develop implement and maintain operational standards procedures and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies industry standards and regulatory requirements including IT policies and security standards.
  • Plan and manage the integration and support of new technologies into the environment.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams for seamless deployment and support of systems.
  • Oversee the deployment configuration and lifecycle management of IT assets including desktops laptops mobile devices printers and servers.
  • Develop and implement IT service management processes: incident problem change and request management.
  • Coordinate and support enterprise-wide software rollouts updates and patch management activities.
  • Monitor and improve service desk performance ensuring timely resolution of user issues and high customer satisfaction.
  • Provide computer and user support including installation and configuration of hardware and software upgrades patches and advanced technical support.
  • Perform advanced network and telephony support and provide on-site support for remote troubleshooting by other technical staff.
  • Lead mentor and develop a team of supervisors project leaders and technical staff conducting performance evaluations training and succession planning.
  • Provide input on business continuity planning and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Compensation and Term

This opportunity is for a full-time contract position with possibleextensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $155000per year. Medical dental vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Qualifications you need

A successful candidatehas the following experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of IT work experience including managing team(s) responsible for production and operations support.
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Systems or other related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to travel between client locations 25% - 40% of the time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb a ladder squat stoop push crawl and bend in all types of weather.
  • Demonstrated knowledge skills and abilities in Initiative Communication Customer Service Decision Making Flexibility Interpersonal Leadership Problem Solving Team Building and Quality Assurance.
