New Grads Welcome to Apply and Be Part of a Dynamic Nurse Residency Program where you will be practicing at the top of your licensure and skill set!
Integrate collaborative care planning for individual patients and implement nursing standards in the processes of care.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the nursing process in caring for all patients to include: assessing symptoms planning interventions implementing treatment plans evaluating responses to interventions and revising plan based on overall effectiveness.
- Demonstrates the skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to the population served.
- Adheres to the established practice standards and procedures at New London Hospital in the administration of all medications and in-patient care activities.
- Documents care provided using hospital standards and appropriate nursing notes
- Provides education to patients and families based on assessment of learning needs.
- Participates in interdisciplinary discharge planning.
- Ensures patient environment is safe and free from hazards.
- Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
- Assists in the orientation of new employees to the Medical/Surgical Unit.
- Participates in required hospital and/or unit competencies
- Attends staff meetings as required by Clinical Manager
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- 1 year of relevant clinical practice
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to collaborate with multiple disciplines in a professional manner
Required Licensure/Certifications
REQUIRED LICENSE(S):
Licensed RN with NH eligibility
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
(ACLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 180 days
