Job Summary

Great Bentley Surgery arelooking to recruit a clinical coder to join our friendly team.This part-time position is for approximately 15 hours per week working all day on a Monday and successful candidate will also be required to assist with cover for annual leave and sickness.

The role will involve the following duties;

Coding and scanning all incoming patient correspondence as part of the documents management process.
Updating the EMIS web system.
Various adhoc administrative duties.

This post would be ideal for a person with healthcare experience who wishes to develop their coding skills.

About the Candidate

We would welcome applications from organised adaptable and friendly individuals who are keen to help us provide high levels of customer service. Applicants should have the following skills and experience:

Excellent IT time management and organisational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team as well as independently.
Primary care experience is desirable but not essential.

Some flexibility is required as you will sometimes need to work additional or alternative hours to cover for colleagues.All applicants should ensure that they live within reasonable commuting distance.
