Job Summary

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviews tracks and documents in compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training continuing education and work assessments. This may include safety training anti-harassment training professional licensure and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Reviews background checks drug screens and employment eligibility verifications. Identifies variances from accepted guidelines and escalates matters to the Senior HR Director as needed.
  • Works with other Human Resources Department staff and various internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve general employee matters.
  • Performs complex tasks required to administer and execute human resource policies and programs including but not limited to compensation overtime pay leaves; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; random drug testing process productivity recognition and morale.
  • Works in collaboration with safety department on drug and alcohol testing requirements occupational health and safety matters.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants employees and supervisors referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Senior Human Resources Director.
  • Works with Compensation & Benefits Administrator on tracking LOAs requests (FMLA / CFRA PDL PFL) and assists in completion of state and federal forms.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings terminations and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Assists in developing company-wide SOPs
  • Maintains knowledge of trends best practices regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources talent management and employment law.
  • Monitors and updates all the related HR information systems with relevant employee data.
  • Assists with preparation of plans policies documents and various reports including but not limited to EEO-1 affirmative action plans organizational charts and employee handbooks.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree in human resources Business Administration or related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of human resource experience required.
  • SHRM-CP plus.

Salary Range: $70K- $90 K ( Commensurate with experience)
