The Role: Electrical Supervisor
Join our team as an Electrical Supervisor working alongside Project and Production Managers to deliver high-quality electrical outcomes across major this full-time permanent role based at Garden Island youll lead a skilled team uphold safety and quality standards and support the successful delivery of operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of trades and non-trades staff ensuring high-quality workmanship and full OH&S compliance.
- Provide technical support guidance and reporting on electrical tasks and project deliverables.
- Plan estimate and schedule work activities ensuring smooth and efficient delivery.
- Oversee personnel administration team compliance and adherence to company processes and standards.
- Deliver on-the-job training mentor apprentices and support upskilling across the team.
- Interpret drawings to manufacture assemble and install electrical components using workshop equipment safely and effectively.
- Monitor team performance identify development needs and support continuous improvement.
Your Skills:
- Advanced Engineering Tradesperson with a NSW Electrical Licence.
- Experience in electrical engineering within shipbuilding repair or related industries.
- Knowledge of commercial quality safety requirements and industry-recognised Quality Assurance systems.
- Milspec plugging cable termination or fibre optic experience (desirable).
- Basic rigging or forklift ticket (desirable).
- Certificate IV in Frontline Supervision or equivalent experience in a leadership role.
- Eligible to obtain a Defence Security Clearance and ITARs clearance.
