At PwC our people in software and product innovation focus on developing cutting-edge cloud solutions and driving product innovation to meet the evolving needs of PwC Canada. As a Director within PwCs Chief Data Analytic Office (CDAO) you will lead the modernization and implementation of the enterprise data platform including Microsoft Fabric and Databricks. There will also be a data governance technology implementation of Collibra which will need to be integrated with Databricks and Fabric following Data Governance taxonomies and guidance. You will be responsible for implementing these new technologies driving digital transformation and working collaboratively with the CDAO Data Engineering & Architecture team.Meaningful work youll be part of
As a Databricks Director youll work as part of a team of problem solvers helping to solve business issues deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead end-to-end implementation of Microsoft Fabric and Databricks for enterprise-scale data solutions
Integrate Collibra with Databricks and Fabric to enable advanced data governance aligned with firm-wide taxonomies
Champion adoption of a modern data stack and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
Drive digital transformation initiatives accelerating technology implementation and execution
Collaborate across cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
Develop and present Proof of Concepts and technical demos to validate data platform capabilities
Mentor and inspire the next generation of data and technology leaders within the CDAO
Promote an environment where people and technology thrive together
Uphold and enforce professional technical and ethical standards in all project delivery
Foster a healthy inclusive working environment and maximize leader and end-user satisfaction
Experiences and skills youll use to solve
Experience in software development including architecting Azure-based data solutions
Proven expertise in Databricks Power BI Microsoft Azure Synapse Data Factory and Python
Experience implementing data governance with Collibra and data integration/analytics with Microsoft Fabric
Strong knowledge of event-driven architecture and modern data platform design
Demonstrated leadership in technology adoption innovation and digital transformation
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a collaborative approach
Ability to rapidly stand-up new technologies and lead teams under aggressive timelines
Strategic thinker with the ability to balance big picture and detailed execution
Adherence to professional and technical standards and PwCs code of conduct and independence
Experience with Azure ML/MLOps Kubernetes Docker Azure DevOps Jenkins Terraform or Pre-Sales Architecture is a nice to have

The salary range for this position is $190200 - $240200. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada base salary is determined by your skills experience qualifications and work addition to base salary eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
