| SUMMARY: Leads efforts to develop and implement a curriculum and instructional methods based on current research practical experience state guidelines and community expectations for students enrolled in grades K-12 in the EVSC Virtual Academy. Leads the use of additional educational technology beyond the online curriculum for assisting the struggling learners and facilitating all learners for high expectations. Formulates and implements staff development to ensure classroom implementation of best practice and curriculum. Analyzes data from standardized assessments and develops plans for improvement in score results. Interviews and hires teachers for the program and evaluates teachers yearly. Leads the EVSC Virtual Academy teachers in a PLC to review practices and data regularly. Serves as a part of the highschool team. Coordinates other duties assigned by supervisors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Other duties may be assigned. Determine goals and strategies for EVSC Virtual Academy assessing district regional and community needs based on data - Coordinate marketing efforts for recruitment and enrollment
- Research and facilitate the development of a vertically aligned curriculum K-12
- Research best practice; oversee the selection and utilization of online software and work with teachers to prepare online lessons and additional materials/resources to supplement instruction
- Analyze data from standardized formative and summative testing (ILEARN IREAD SAT NWEA etc.) and facilitate adjustment of curriculum and instruction as needed
- Provide staff development opportunities for teachers to ensure classroom implementation of best practice and curriculum
- Interview and hire for positions related to curriculum area and non-certified staff
- Work with administrators counselors teachers and advisory committees in formulating policies and procedures related to area of responsibility
- Stay abreast of current research in education and apply knowledge as warranted
- Supervises all Virtual Academy staff
- Organize and conduct student and parent meetings for new student enrollment orientation and recognition opportunities
- Secure additional funding sources formulate and manage budgets/grants related to area of responsibility
- Ensure maintenance of appropriate student records including courses grades transcripts and attendance
- Regularly conduct ISP conferences Pre-Court Conferences 504 Conferences to support student success
- Regularly attend special education conferences of prospective and current students
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisors
- Maintain regular attendance

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: - Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to prepare project monitor and revise multiple budgets.
REASONING ABILITY: - Ability to define problems collect and analyze data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
