Medical Records Clerk

Springfield Hospital Chelmsford

37.5 hours per work

Salary - Depending on experience Benefits

Summary:

Springfield Hospital is one of Essexs leading private hospital with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality private hospital treatments and services. The hospital opened on this site in 1987 and currently has 49 bedrooms including three twin-bedded rooms all with en-suite facilities to ensure complete privacy throughout your stay.

The role:

We are looking for an experienced Medical Records Clerk to join our Bookings Team at Springfield Hospital. As a medical records clerk you will help to maintain patients records ensuring accuracy at all times.

Duties include:

  • Scanning in of notes onto PAS system.

  • Auditing of scanned documents on PAS system.

  • Dealing with enquiries into the Dept.

  • Dealing with SARs (Subject Access Requests) from external clients.

  • Making up of notes. Filing of notes.

  • Pulling of notes for theatre lists.

  • Ensuring accuracy at all times.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Good time management required

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Good knowledge and understanding of GDPR.

  • Attention to detail is an absolute must.

  • Ability to work on their own as well as in a team.

  • Computer literate
