Job Description

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Battery Management System (BMS) Software Engineer to strengthen our growing BMS team. If you are passionate about programming and the battery storage industry and enjoy the challenges of developing advanced technologies we invite you to apply.

In this role you will design develop and deploy well-structured software to optimize battery performance safety and longevity. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and reliability of our battery systems ensuring they meet the highest standards for various applications including electric vehicles (EV) marine transportation and energy storage solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance software aspects of BMS including coding State of Charge (SOC) algorithms charging/discharging control systems protection strategies and communication protocols.
• Identify and address customer requirements for BMS functionality ensuring the software meets evolving needs across diverse applications.
• Program test and maintain high-quality BMS software to ensure optimal battery performance safety and efficiency.
• Work closely with the test team support team and other engineers (hardware mechanical thermal) to resolve software issues and improve the overall BMS system.
• Provide debugging support troubleshoot and resolve software issues that arise during BMS development production and maintenance.

Your Profile

• Strong willingness and enthusiasm to take on challenges related to BMS development for a variety of applications such as electric vehicles (EV) marine transportation and domestic/industrial battery storage.
• A Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Applied Computer Science Control Engineering or an equivalent field.
• At least 3 years of experience in BMS software development.
• Familiarity with key BMS algorithms such as SOX estimation cell balancing and other related algorithms.
• Proficiency in C programming and embedded systems programming (experience with NXP is an asset).
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN ModBus TCP/IP etc.
• Strong communication skills a collaborative mindset self-motivated and an ability to learn and apply new technologies rapidly.
