What You Will Do

In this role you will:

  • Analyze data and produce reports using spreadsheets and databases.
  • Draft written reports and other correspondence.
  • Check the work of others to ensure high-quality work.
  • Assist with research and marketing projects.

What We Are Looking For

Professional Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of actuarial-related work experience.
  • Successful completion of at least one Society of Actuaries exam.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Personal Qualifications

  • Attention to detail and aptitude for precise work.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ambition and desire to complete actuarial exams with the goal of attaining Fellowship.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and proficiency in SQL or SAS.

Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for immigration support or sponsorship from Milliman now or in the future.

The Team

Millimans San Diego healthcare practice provides consulting services to clients in the healthcare industry including health plans government payers providers and reinsurers.

Location

Milliman accepts applicants for this opportunity and hires from this posted opportunity on an ongoing basis. The anticipated closure date for this job posting is April 1 2026.

This role is based out of the Milliman office in San Diego CA but candidates hired into this role may work remotely anywhere in the US.

Compensation

The overall salary range for this role is $60300 - $136160.

For candidates residing in:

  • Alaska California Connecticut Illinois Maryland Massachusetts New Jersey New York City Pennsylvania Virginia Washington or the District of Columbia:
    • $69345 - $121555 if overall experience is less than 1.9 years; and
    • $77740 - $136160 for experience greater than 2 years.
  • All other states:
    • $60300 - $105700 if overall experience is less than 1.9 years; and
    • $67600 - $118400 for experience greater than 2 years.

A combination of factors will be considered including but not limited to education relevant work experience qualifications skills certifications etc.
