Description

The Constellation Brands Brand Development Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and successfully manages the Constellation Brands portfolio for Pepin Distributing Company. This role will serve as the portfolio expert for both external customers and our internal sales team. The Brand Manager must maintain and enhance our relationship with Constellation Brands and strategize how to better our market positioning with the entire Constellation portfolio.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Dedicate a significant amount of time in the trade for the purpose of evaluating market conditions on behalf of the Constellation Beer portfolio.
  • Communicate with appropriate distributor personnel to monitor product and POS inventory levels to minimize out of stock situations.
  • Participates in sales meetings to educate the sales force on assigned brands.
  • Attend / participate in night promotion activity and special event marketing activities.
  • Conduct work-with activities with sales personnel at least once per month and coordinate all work-with activities for the Constellation Beer portfolio.
  • Track and measures distribution and sales of Constellation portfolio.
  • Frequently interact with Constellation Beer Brands sales team.
  • Daily interaction with sales force to ensure Constellation goals are met.
  • Primary contact for other specific suppliers including: Fusion FIFCO Tilray Patco Hornell US Beverage and Sazerac malt.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.


Analysis and Planning:

  • Develop communicate track and post results of the Annual Business Plan.
  • Oversee the development and execution of elements of the ABP with specific focus on volume distribution and retail standards goals.
  • Analyze suppliers for the purpose of identifying issues / opportunities by brand by channel by sales territory by sales representative etc.
  • Ensure all mandated brands for the Constellation portfolio within National Accounts are in distribution.
  • Develop / initiate merchandising programs to increase the exposure of Constellation Beer brands in the marketplace.
  • Consistently communicate priorities to sales teams.
  • Develop sales programs to address gap opportunities (i.e. distribution space management merchandising feature ads display execution etc.).
  • Work with the Sales Intelligence Manager to design and prioritize monthly/PFP objectives.
  • Assist Marketing Department in the negotiation development and execution of value added merchandising programs relative to Constellation Beer media buys
  • Assist in the development coordination and execution of special marketing programs designed to enhance the image of the Constellation Beer portfolio
  • Assist in the targeting / coordinating of appropriate accounts relative to On-Premise promotions radio live remotes spokesperson appearances etc.
  • Assist in the management of Constellation Beer recommended pricing levels and drive schedules


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintains quality appearance as outlined in PDC employee handbook.
  • Attends all meetings seminars and training scheduled by management.
Requirements
  • Strong record of sales excellence
  • Good interpersonal communication across platforms
  • Versed in MS Office Mobility 360 applications
  • Ability to learn new software.
