Position:Student Support Assistant (Multiple positions available at Pine Grove and Roaring Brook Elementary Schools)
Qualifications: Associates or Bachelors Degree in Education Psychology Child Development Social Work or a related field.
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school community or clinical setting.
- Prior experience supporting early childhood learners (PK-4)
- Demonstrated ability to teach or reinforce positive social behavioral and self-regulation skills.
- Strong understanding of child development SEL frameworks and positive behavior supports.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with staff students and families.
- Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with young children.
- Flexible proactive and able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities: To equip students with the foundational social-emotional and self-regulation skills they need to engage in learning while ensuring they feel safe supported and prepared to succeed in the classroom.
Terms of Employment: Position to start ASAP through the end of the 2025-26 School Year. 20 hours a week as determined by the Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator and/or building principal; $25.00 per employee benefits are associated with this position.
