Summary:
The Occupational Therapist will have the education knowledge and skill to provide in-patient and/or out-patient services focusing on functional skills to enhance development restore function and to prevent disability from pediatric conditions illness and injury. Evaluation treatment and home programming are provided for children with: musculoskeletal injuries to upper extremities fine motor delays visual perceptual and visual motor impairments brain injuries and neurological impairments sensory processing disorders and related problems hematology and oncology disorders and neuromuscular conditions. Also includes evaluation for assistive devices and activities of daily living. The position shall include patient and caregiver education and consultation to other professionals clinics and agencies both within Cook Childrens Health Care System and within the community. Documentation and correspondence pertaining to these services shall follow department and system policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in OT
- Pediatric experience preferred
- State license for occupational therapy or eligible for licensure
- BLS required
