Job Summary
Position Title: Travel Radiation Therapist
Location: Hyannis MA 02601
Job Type: Contract
Shift: Day 58-hour shifts
Travel Pay Range: $60$65/hour
Position Summary:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a licensed Radiation Therapist to provide safe effective and patient-centered radiation therapy in accordance with physician prescriptions. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality care educate patients on treatment procedures and side effects maintain precise documentation and ensure compliance with radiation safety standards while supporting the operational needs of the department.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
Licensed Radiation Therapy Technologist in Massachusetts
ARRT registration within one year of graduation
Current CPR certification
Key Responsibilities:
Treatment Delivery & Patient Care: Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments while ensuring patient comfort and safety; educate patients regarding treatment procedures potential side effects and self-care; monitor and report patient condition changes.
Documentation & Operational Support: Maintain accurate treatment records manage scheduling and coordinate effectively with the multidisciplinary care team; support billing treatment documentation and electronic health record management.
Equipment Safety & Quality Assurance: Assist with equipment warm-ups calibration and troubleshooting; adhere to radiation safety protocols; participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Dosimetry Planning & Special Procedures: Support treatment planning calculate radiation doses assist with implants and maintain radium flow records.
Education & Professional Development: Mentor radiation therapy students and maintain continuing education requirements; perform additional duties as needed to support departmental operations.
