A newly created role the Chief Business Officer reports to the Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer and will operate at the forefront of accelerating TRIUMFs commercialization strategies. Through comprehensive development of key market segments and a hand-picked team the unit will be responsible for driving the translation of TRIUMFs scientific discoveries into commercial and societal impact.

As the ideal candidate you are a visionary strategic and highly proactive leader with a proven record in technology transfer and innovation management. You bring expertise in building business cases intellectual property strategy licensing and venture creation with the ability to translate complex scientific research into meaningful commercial and societal impact. With your advanced degree (PhD JD or MBA) you have significant experience leading commercialization initiatives in academic industry or research environments.

TRIUMF is located on the south campus of the University of British Columbia in the heart of beautiful Pacific Spirit Park in Vancouver BC.

The expected salary range for this role is $200000 - $245000 plus pension and benefits.
