G&A Partners client is currently seeking a Girl Experience Manager (6-12th grade) to join its team in San Antonio TX.

Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas (GSSWT) is headquartered in San Antonio TX and serves more than 15000 Girl Scouts (girls and adults) across 21 counties in southwest Texas. Girl Scouts is the worlds preeminent leadership development organization for girls building girls of courage confidence and character who make the world a better place.

The Girl Experience Managermanages the program function of the councils jurisdiction supervising program staff and supporting volunteers. The Girl Experience Manager ensures that the needs of a diverse population are recognized and met and that program goals are met and assure quality Girl Scout program is offered throughout the councils jurisdiction

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development of strategies for building relationships that expand the possibilities for girls across the council and support for volunteers in the delivery of high-quality experiences.
  • Works collaboratively with other departments to transition staff-based delivery constructs and systems to volunteer-based delivery systems whenever possible and to ensure that volunteers are supported and guided.
  • Collaborates with all council departments to create and implement local plans for participation growth across pathways that reflect local preference for participation.
  • Analyzes program evaluations to ensure membership needs are being met address issues and modifies or discontinues programs as needed.
  • Develops and monitors program budgets plans and initiatives.
  • Oversees staff delivering and/or training volunteers who provide Girl Scout programming.
  • Collects analyzes and interprets outcomes and other data related to funding reports.
  • Assists staff in building participation in all outcomes surveys that support membership and program.
  • Creates a culture of teamwork; develops a motivated and competent team through effective supervision performance evaluation and development opportunities.
  • Manages and coordinates department budget and corresponding resource allocations. Performs additional duties as assigned in support of the councils mission and goals.
  • Supervise a team of 2 specialist
  • Managing and implementing program experiences for girls6th-12th grades.
  • Highly Preferred:
    • Budget experience project management experience and people management experience preferred.
    • Microsoft suite experience preferred organizations standard tool.
    • Comfortable being front facing with school administrations other youth-serving collaborators and community influencers.
    • Public speaking experience preferred.

  • Team-Building - knows team-building techniques and processes; collaborates with others to create optimal solutions; fosters a commitment to a team approach to work; promotes partnerships between work units; collaboratively defines boundaries and outcomes of work responsibilities; shares information with others; recognizes and rewards team accomplishments; shares decision-making responsibility with team members.
  • Volunteer Management - knows the procedures tools and legal issues associated with recruiting selecting supervising and releasing adult volunteers; assigns and manages volunteers in an efficient manner; monitors use of volunteers; recognizes volunteer accomplishments.
  • Customer Service manages difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.

Qualifications

Licensure/Membership Requirements: The employee is required to maintain membership with Girl Scouts of the United States of America throughout the duration of their employment with GSSWT.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Education/Experience: Bachelors degree and two to four years of progressive responsibility; or any combination of education training and experience which provides the required knowledge skills and abilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Language Ability: Ability to read analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions percentages area circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Computer Skills: Must be proficient with computer and Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel Outlook and Word).

Schedule/Location/Travel

  • Weekend work required as assigned by program delivery schedule.
  • Evening work required as assigned by program delivery schedule.
  • Office location is West Side Girl Scout Leadership Center 5622 W Cesar Chavez Blvd San Antonio 78237.
  • Travel to headquarters offices at the Sally Cheever Girl Scout Leadership Center 811 N Coker Loop; San Antonio 78216 required for meetings and events.

Privacy Policy

wage is $23/hr.

The starting range represents the low and high end of the G&A Partners range for this position. Actual wages will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of G&As total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include commissions annual bonuses and program specific addition G&A Partners provides a variety of benefits to employees including health dental vision life insurance short-term and long-term disability flexible spending ancillary benefits retirement savings plan paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
