Job Summary

Blandford Healthcare in Braintree are looking to recruit an experienced healthcare assistant on a part-time basis for up to 30 hours per week.

Working alongside a team of 4 nurses 2 nurse associated and 1 HCA the successful applicant will be responsible for the following duties;

Dressing management
Phlebotomy
Health checks
Stock management

About the Candidate

The healthcare assistant role within general practice can be very different to the role within other settings and as such we are only looking for applications from those with previous primary care experience. All applicants should ensure that they live within reasonable commuting distance.

All applicants should have the following skills and qualifications:

Successful completion of the Care Certificate or willingness to undertake as indicated by the CQC.
Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
Experience of working within a GP practice.
Strong clinical skills as mentioned above.
Excellent patient-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
Confidential manner with a compassionate and respectful approachplacing a high value on the dignity of patients relatives carers and colleagues.
Ability to work independently determining own workload priorities as well as working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
