Responsible for developing implementing coordinating and maintaining the occupational health programs. Serves as the Systems expert resource in assuring knowledge and compliance with all governmental agency regulations dealing with safety and wellness in the workplace. Maintains OSHA/BBP/Injury logs & exposures. Advocates for the health and safety of all staff. May be responsible for coordinating the W/C program and activities designed to prevent assess and treat work-related injuries and hazardous exposures; facilitates case management of workers comp claims files First Report of Injury after reviewing/investigating incidents. Reviews visit notes to coordinate back to work
(work-related and non work-related)/light duty w/ managers and interacts w/ managers/HRD for associates who cant be released to work. Directs the activity of the Occupational Health Technician as needed. May involve travel or remote support for geographical team(s).
Schedule: Monday - Friday; flexible start time day shift no holidays
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day qualified candidates will need the following:
- Associate degree in nursing required
- Bachelor degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
- One year of clinical RN experience required
- Prior Occupational Health experience is preferred or working knowledge of Occupational Health to include blood borne pathogens; immunizations; communicable diseases knowledge of workers compensation procedures and regulations.
- RN license to practice (in state of employment asapplicable) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently and/or up to 10
lbs. constantly
