About the Role
Were looking for a Senior Quality Engineer who knows how to build performance testing environments from the ground up and drive performance strategy across complex high-traffic systems. This role isnt about maintaining the status quo-its about owning performance from design to delivery. Youll shape testing approaches lead automation and influence engineering decisions that directly impact scalability reliability and user experience.
Youll work closely with Engineering Product and Ops to ensure performance isnt an afterthought-its built into the lifecycle. If youre the person who digs into metrics calls out architectural risks early and knows how to turn performance findings into business clarity youll thrive here.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute performance testing strategies that ensure scalable stable delivery.
Build and maintain automated test scripts using open-source frameworks.
Apply version control best practices for test automation code.
Define and reinforce QA standards for planning execution and automation.
Performance Testing & Optimization
Lead performance benchmarking tuning and performance environment management.
Use tools such as Artillery K6 Locus JMeter or LoadRunner to measure analyze and optimize.
Identify and mitigate risks bottlenecks and architectural limitations.
Translate performance metrics into clear insights and recommendations.
Automation & Continuous Improvement
Build and maintain automation frameworks and test suites.
Integrate performance testing into CI/CD workflows.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Stay current with QA automation and performance engineering trends.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with Product Development and Operations to align performance priorities with business needs.
Participate in code reviews sprint planning and technical discussions.
Lead cross-team initiatives to improve quality processes tools and methodologies.
Success Metrics
Performance environment built validated and integrated into delivery workflows.
Clear benchmarking baselines established and maintained.
Reduction in performance-related defects and incidents.
Increased test automation coverage and stability across CI/CD.
Measurable improvements in system scalability and reliability over time.
Who You Are
5 7 years in QA performance testing and automation.
Experience standing up new performance environments from scratch.
Skilled in load stress and soak testing methodologies.
Strong communicator able to convert technical metrics into business impact.
Knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
Comfortable working across engineering product and operations.
Focused detail-oriented and committed to delivering reliable high-quality software.
