The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care within an ICU setting potentially floating between units. The role requires the nurse to work independently especially in a low-acuity ICU environment and may involve charge responsibilities. This position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to manage a patient load of up to 3 patients.

Location:Plainview Texas United States
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to ICU patients.
- Work independently in a low-acuity ICU setting.
- Function as a charge nurse if needed over a low-acuity ICU.
- Perform patient assessments medication administration and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
- Monitor and document patient conditions.
- Ensure accurate and timely communication with healthcare providers.
- Provide skilled nursing care to ICU patients.
- Work independently in a low-acuity ICU setting.
- Function as a charge nurse if needed over a low-acuity ICU.
- Perform patient assessments medication administration and treatment planning.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of working.
- ACLS certification.
- PALS certification.
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Charge nurse experience in a Med-Surg unit.

Special Considerations:
- Must be able to work independently.
- Required to work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.
- No on-call duties required.
