About the Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead Production Planning & Inventory Control (PPIC) for our API manufacturing operations. This role is critical in ensuring seamless coordination between production supply chain and commercial teams driving efficiency compliance and timely delivery of high-quality APIs to global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Control
- Develop and implement monthly quarterly and annual production plans aligned with business targets.
- Monitor plant capacity utilization and optimize resource allocation.
- Coordinate with manufacturing QA/QC and engineering teams to ensure adherence to schedules.
- Inventory & Materials Management
- Oversee raw material intermediate and finished goods inventory levels.
- Ensure timely procurement and availability of critical inputs.
- Drive initiatives for inventory optimization and cost control.
- Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the central link between production procurement supply chain and sales teams.
- Provide regular MIS reports on production status material consumption and dispatch schedules.
- Support demand forecasting and align production plans with market requirements.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure PPIC processes comply with GMP regulatory and EHS standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation for audits inspections and internal reviews.
- Drive data integrity and digitalization initiatives in planning systems.
- Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Lead and mentor PPIC team members fostering accountability and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement automation and lean practices.
- Support strategic projects including capacity expansion and new product introduction.
Qualifications
- in Chemical Engineering (mandatory).
- 15–20 years of experience in API manufacturing PPIC functions.
- Strong knowledge of production planning inventory management and supply chain coordination.
- Familiarity with ERP/PPIC systems (SAP Oracle etc.).
- Proven track record of handling large-scale API operations and regulatory audits.
