Basingstoke - 5 Days Customer Site (Travel to other customers sites on a periodic basis)

Your role will involve:
We are looking for a 3rd Directory Services Engineer to join a small dynamic team of 2nd and 3rd Line engineers. Your role will involve carrying out planned activities via a Change Management Process monitoring the system using Event Management tooling and responding to incidents via the Incident Process including triage of incidents and escalation via the Service Management Team. Examples of tasks:
Responding to escalations from 2nd Line Daily checks
Maintaining and supporting Active Directory and providing timely updates to the Operations Lead.
Carrying out a readiness assessment for new releases entering service from the Engineering Team
Producing and maintaining documentation such as (Work Instructions and Patching Schedules).
The applicant must be DV Cleared sole national required for a high-level government account.
Key skills and experience:
Problem-solver with the ability to think creatively
Deep understanding of Active Directory Domain Services
Deep understanding of Windows Server 2019 and later
Deep understanding of Domain Name System (DNS)
Group policy creation and assignment
Understanding of System Center Operations Manager and Configuration Manager (SCOM and SCCM)
Experience working in a multi-tenant environment
Knowledge of PowerShell scripting
Ability to work on projects and understanding of project management terminology
Ability to work independently as well as within a team and to collaborate with various teams like Engineering and Architecture
Ability to embrace change and adjust priorities or processes and approach as needed
Highly self-motivated directed and can work independently without supervision in a high-pressure environment
Your transferable skills and experience:
ITSM Tooling & Processes
VMware vCenter - Use of not Administration
Ability to embrace change and adjust priorities or processes and approach as needed
Knowledge of ITIL processes
Knowledge of Agile methodologies
