The Assembler produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
Essential Functions

Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions blueprint specifications parts lists and gathering parts subassemblies tools and materials. Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements. Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit fastening parts and subassemblies. Verifies specifications by measuring completed componentsresolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifies supervisor to obtain additional resources. Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturers instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs as needed. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations. Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; working with purchasing to place and expedite orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
Competencies
Must be technically and mechanically inclined including the possession of dexterity the ability to use tools effectively and mechanical intuition and problem-solving. Ability to consistently handle and follow through with multiple projects and assignments and meet deadlines; ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities; ability to function effectively in a busy work environment. Excellent attention to detail professional attitude and reliability. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills organization skills ability to prioritize and be detail oriented. Continuous and persistent follow-up.
